The short version

We collect the details we need to make and post your bars and to reply when you contact us. We don’t sell your data and we don’t run ad tracking.

Who is responsible

Alice Tucker, trading as Elemental Bar, 26 Russell Square, Chorley PR6 0AS, is the data controller. Contact: elementalbar.co.uk@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

  • Orders: your name, email, phone, delivery address and what you bought — to fulfil your order and meet our legal record-keeping duties. Legal basis: contract.
  • Payment: handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment, not your card number. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
  • Contact form: your name, email and message — to reply to you. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Email list (only if you say yes): your name and email, when you choose to hear from us at checkout, in the website sign-up or at an event, so we can tell you about new bars, events and offers. Legal basis: consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or just email us and we’ll take you off. We may copy the list into an email-sending service to send these emails.
  • Visitor statistics: Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you, so we can see which pages are useful. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Who helps us process it

Our website is built and hosted by GFE Tech Group Ltd (company no. 17234887, ICO reg. ZC153731), who act as our data processor. It runs on Vercel, with order data stored on Supabase (EU/UK region) and transactional emails sent via Resend. Payments are processed by Stripe. Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years for tax purposes. Contact messages are deleted within 12 months of resolving them. Email list details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

  • Essential: your bag contents (stored in your browser), Stripe’s checkout cookies, and a sign-in cookie for our admin area. No consent needed.
  • No tracking or advertising cookies. Our visitor statistics work without cookies, and we use Google Search Console only to see how the site appears in Google search: it places nothing on your device.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us and we’ll respond within a month. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
